Kashmir Meeting held in Birmingham UK




BIRMINGHAM - Speakers at a function has said the rulers imposed on Pakistan have inflicted more damage on the Kashmir struggle than that of India.

“These rulers have been installed to implement the agenda of certain powers by putting Kashmir issue on the back burner,” the speakers at a function held in connection with Right to Self-determination Day of Kashmiris at Kashmir House in Birmingham.

AJK JI leader Dr Khalid Mehmood said that declaring India as most favourite nation and terming Lord Nazir Ahmed persona non grata, the puppet government in Azad Kashmir has stabbed in the back of Kashmir freedom movement. He said that PPP leaders in Muzaffarabad are accepting every formula and decision from Islamabad to please the rulers there and possibility cannot be ruled out that they will thumb the decision of Pakistani rulers to seal the fate of Kashmiris one day.

Former AJK minister and All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference leader Sahibzada Hafiz Hamad Raza said that January 5, is most significant day in the history of Kashmir when the United Nations passed a resolution and recognised Kashmir as disputed territory. He said voices of barbarities against Kashmiris are echoing all over the world but regretted that United Nation which is sponsor of Kashmiri people right to self-determination is not doing anything.

President of UK Islamic Mission Maulana Sarfaraz Madni said that in disregard of policies of Pakistani rulers, the Pakistani nation stood by Kashmiris for their right to self-determination wholeheartedly.
President of Tahreek-e-Kashmir UK Muhammad Ghalib said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will never withdraw from resolutions passed by United Nation Security Council as stepping back from the resolution Kashmiris will lost their claim over Kashmir’s disputed nature.

He said that granting India a status of permanent member of UNSC would be tantamount to negation of the charters of the United Nation itself.

Others who spoke on the occasion include Councillor Birmigham City Council Ch Muhammad Fazil, PML-N Leader Raja Ayaz, Ch Muhammad Akbar, Mufti Abdul Majeed Nadeem, Maulana Fazal Ahmed Qadri, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Raja Faheem Kiani and Ch Tassadaq Hussain.
