Srinagar, November 20th 2012: In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, has said that India’s continued reluctance towards resolving the Kashmir dispute will have dire consequences. Professor Abdul Ghani Butt in a media interview in Srinagar said that India and Pakistan could not come closer by entering into trade and business agreements but Kashmir resolution was the requirement for the amicable relationship between the two countries. The senior APHC leader said that the Kashmiri leadership must speak in one voice for resolution of the lingering dispute. “My faith is that Kashmiris’ sacrifices will not go waste and if it goes it will be because of our wrong policies,” he added. Professor Butt said that during his recent meetings with various political leaders of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, he felt that they were serious about permanent and peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
